Lock – A device to stop riding drunk on a bike
Alcoho-Lock is a smart health smart health connected object that comes straight from Japan. Its objective is simple and noble: to make sure that you no longer ride a bicycle if you have drunk too much.
Alcoho-Lock is actually a big smart health connected padlock for bikes. You would be surprised by the damage and devastation that a drunk cyclist can cause; we can already see the problems they cause when they are sober … so imagine the disaster! Drunk cyclists are even less careful than usual. They ignore signs, fall from bikes, drive in the opposite direction of traffic, etc.
This is why the Japanese company KOOWHO imagined Alcoho-Lock. It combines the functionality of a breathalyzer and a padlock. On the other hand, its opening is quite original and unprecedented. To be able to open it, you need to blow into a nozzle on the underside of the lock. The Alcoho-Lock device will then measure the amount of alcohol in your breath. If the amount of alcohol is below the legal limit, the lock opens and you can get on your bike and go health home. On the other hand, if the amount of alcohol exceeds the legal limit, Alcoho-Lock sends a warning message to a family member or friend saying that you are not in a condition to drive. This contact will then have the hand on the padlock.
Alco-Lock has a battery that allows it to operate on a single charge for approximately 40 breath tests. Please note that no code system has been provided in the event of a battery failure. If this product interests you, it will still cost you 250 dollars. Made of aluminum, this product unfortunately may quickly end up in your closet since every time you want to take a bike ride you will have to blow on the lock. Look :
