Another new French innovation that is talking about it at CES, cocorico! This time it is L'Oréal it is. The cosmetics giant announces that it will release a patch to measure UV exposure under its dermatological brand La Roche-Posay.

This year, we saw the big French groups come en masse at CES. In addition to La Poste (which is now almost a regular at the conference), it is Legrand, Dassault Systèmes or L'Oréal who made the trip. On this occasion, the cosmetics specialist unveiled a smart patch that will detect the rate of exposure to ultraviolet rays. It is from the smart health connected Beauty incubator based in Silicon Valley that this solution has been developed.

Technically, this My UV Patch is a small waterproof, flexible and transparent electrical circuit who has just placed in a place particularly exposed to the sun (the hand for example). It contains photosensitive dyes that will change color depending on the amount of UV radiation stored. Where the patch becomes "smart health connected" is because it can be photographed by the user via a dedicated mobile application, which will then give him adapted advice to protect his skin – and his health. Another French has developed a similar solution, in the form of a bracelet smart health connected / jewel, called June by Netatmo, and marketed for almost two years now.

L'Oréal did not give a price for its product, which should still to be marketed this year.
