Terraillon launches for the first time a scale smart health connected to Wi-Fi with Master Coach, a real advance for the French brand, but not necessarily for the scale of the scales.

Master Coach, the first scale of Terraillon smart health connected to Wi-Fi, will enter the market at the end of June. This communication protocol offers increased freedom for receiving data while the subject is weighing. It should be noted that the Master Coach scale measures a complete range of different body parameters thanks to the BodySense Technology (also present on the Terraillon R-Coach). The latter notes the data of the masses: fat, muscle and bone; thanks to four electrodes built into the scale. They also deliver the BMI (Body Mass Index) of the weighed subject.

According to Terraillon, the Master Coach scale is also equipped with a Smart Connect function that allows the simultaneous binding of up to eight smartphones or tablets. Indeed, this very practical feature for a large family, for example, allows to manage several smart health connected objects at the same time. Smart Connect is not a revelation as it is present on the Terraillon R-Link.

Even if the implementation of Wi-Fi is a real novelty for Terraillon, it is not for the universe of the scales smart health connected. The Fitbit Aria 2 or the Nokia Body, for example, are already equipped with this communication protocol.

Who says connection to a smartphone says application and the Scale Master Coach Terraillon works in conjunction with Wellness Coach-Health (free). Thanks to this slimming coaching application, the manufacturer promises a specialized accompaniment with a dietician (7 telephone interviews for 3 months) according to the data collected with the Master Coach scales. This coaching is free for the first three months and then the subscription is 150 € for three months, if you want to continue monitoring. This process is not a revolution since Terraillon had already made an alliance of this type for the Web Coach Pop.

The Master Coach scale, including the Wellness Coach-Health application, will be available from the end of June at € 99 (indicative price), which remains an average amount in this market. In comparison, the Fitbit Aria 2 is marketed with an introductory price of € 129.95 and € 60 for the Nokia Body, which is an entry-level product.
