Graduates of the eHealth master's degree are well qualified for current and future challenges in health and social care. Your area of ​​responsibility ranges from well-functioning information flows to efficiently designed processes and quality management. They offer innovative solutions in the field of information and communication technologies and also have management know-how. Study alongside the job

The course of study is job-enabling, which means that the courses take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for 15 weeks each semester. Almost no attendance is required in the fourth semester. Students can choose from three eHealth priorities and these from an elective catalog of eightSupplement courses individually with two courses. You can carry out the master project as well as the master thesis with current or future employers. This gives the students the opportunity to put together a course of study based on their personal interests and strengths. You will be supported by the teachers at the eHealth institute.

Contents and focus

The students delve deeper into questions of medical terminology and interoperability using the example of electronic health records. They combine these topics with prevention and health promotion to support diagnoses, therapies and care. The course also provides them with eHealth expertise and the skills of information managers in health care and clinical research.

Software engineering, machine learning or IT management

The master students complete their competence profile by choosing one of the Focus on software engineering, machine learning or IT management. With the focus on software engineering, students acquire all technical and legal competencies for the design and development of eHealth applications as a medical device. With machine learning, participants learn to analyze health data in a variety of ways and design clinical systems for decision support or forecasting models. With a focus on IT management, the students acquire all legal and economic skills that are necessary from a management perspective for the implementation and operation of eHealth solutions.
