Measure your basketball relaxation with GREEN

[ad_1]

GREEN is a fairly original physical activity sensor since it measures above all relaxation of athletes and the number of jumps. The American team behind this sensor saw the big picture since they imported a mini basketball court to CES to demonstrate it to visitors.

The principle is quite simple since the small box hangs on the top of the shorts and then instantly measures the number of jumps and the height thanks to an accelerometer and a gyroscope. The user can then send this information in real time to whomever he wishes (I have seen it, it turns out), thus allowing him to exchange his performances with his friends, or simply assess his risk of injury. In case of too intense activity which would then be harmful for the sportsman, the latter will receive notifications directly on his smartphone. The idea is really great, we can however regret that VERT did not add other measures to its device. He could have completed his offer by adding the distances traveled and the calories burned, useful indicators for athletes.

For the time being, VERT is focusing primarily on the American market, although orders ($ 125 per unit) are possible on his website for worldwide delivery. Note that GREEN has become a benchmark in the American academic world of volleyball. It has notably established itself as the tool of reference for some teams like the Florida Gators women or even more recently the American national volleyball team.
