Meat it smart health connected cooking thermometer Review

In this new article, we will Review together the brand new Meat it smart health connected cooking thermometer Mastrad.

Let's enjoy the beautiful days come back and what could be better than a good barbecue steak shared with friends. Without further ado, we heat the charcoal.

Presentation of the Meat it smart health connected thermometer

As announced above, the Meat it is a fully wireless smart health connected cooking thermometer. It uses Bluetooth technology to communicate with our smartphone. And thanks to its application, the Meat it will allow you to suddenly succeed in cooking a meat or a fish. You no longer have to be a great chef to get rare meat or a perfectly cooked fish fillet.

The whole is presented in a very well-designed box allowing to quickly grasp the product and its functionalities. It comes with its charging base, a USB cable and a user manual.

According to its manufacturer, it withstands temperatures from -30 ° C to +300 ° C and can even be in contact with flames (for a maximum of 3 minutes). And with a signal range up to 30 m. But it does not seem to be compatible with the dishwasher.

The thermometer itself consists of a black ceramic body and a steel tube with compact dimensions 11 * 1 * 1cm. With a displayed autonomy of 24 hours, it recharges on its base with the help of a standard USB charger. Note the presence at the back of an extractor allowing the thermometer to be removed without burning itself at the end of cooking.

The first impression is very good and really gives the feeling of a solid and good quality product. The finish is impeccable and its magnetic storage combination and charger will not detonate hanging on the refrigerator door.

Getting started with the application

Well, after loading the Meat it, we’ll install the free app on Android and iOS smartphones.

We let ourselves be guided by the pictorial instructions for setting up the product as well as for getting started with the application.

Our first cooking with Meat it

The application allows us to choose the type of meat we want to cook (beef, veal, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, duck, fish), as well as the type of cooking. In our example, I'm going to make a barbecue of beef steak with a friend. And yes even for a first try as much not to spare it. And since cooking meat on the barbecue is difficult to master, it is the best way to Review its performance. At the same time, I will be able to compare it to a standard wired cooking thermometer.

Our Meat it is running and paired with our smartphone. We choose our program, rare beef, we insert the probe in the meat in its center and then all in the barbecue.

After a few seconds, we see all the information elements appear. Current and target temperature, past and estimated cooking time and a cooking speed indicator.

In order to Review the alert system, I place my piece of beef very close to the embers. And within seconds, I get a notification telling me to act so as not to damage the device. Likewise if the probe is out of range.

Likewise, I asked to receive an alert at the end and a few minutes before the end of cooking.

The time to remove the probe with the extractor and let it cool on the side, the moment of truth has arrived. I cut my 3 cm thick piece of beef and surprise, the cooking is perfect as requested. As we can see, the temperatures measured by the two probes are very close, so we can validate the accuracy of the measurements. All that's left is to sit at the table.

Our conclusion on the Meat it smart health connected thermometer

Sold at a price of 90 €, I must say that I am impressed by the Meat it. The quality is impeccable, the whole is well thought out, the application intuitive and very practical.

Finally, the obsession with over or undercooked meat on the barbecue is over. Even if the estimate of the cooking time is not the most accurate, it is a very good product very practical in everyday life.
