We already knew the Mid band and the Mi Band Pulse, developed by the Chinese smart health connected fitness brand, Xiaomi. It has always bet on efficient and smart health connected products, but above all, unbeatable financially speaking. With the Mi Band 2, the competition will take a hit!

Mi Band 2, a sensor for all wrists

No big surprise in terms of the functionality of the smart health connected fitness bracelet, but in terms of the display, it is something else. This brand new model presents a OLED screen, the bracelet will display the time and notifications from your smartphone. On the navigation side, it's a little button on the side who takes over.

Despite these visual improvements, Xiaomi retains its basic functionalities dedicated to athletes, functionalities already present on previous models. Step counter, heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, distance and calorie calculation for 20 days of autonomy.

The Mi Band 2 also has an activity alert feature, which vibrates to remind you to exercise. He communicates in Bluetooth 4.0 and is waterproof.

Xiaomi facing the competition?

The Mi Band 2 was announced at 23 dollars, About 20 euros, against 15 euros for previous models. Xiaomi has therefore bet to present a wearable, certainly more expensive than the Mi Band and the Mi Band Pulse, but comparable to their competitors such as FitBit, which are more expensive.

The new version of the activity sensor therefore loses a bit of autonomy, 20 days against the 30 days of the two elders, but aligns directly with the competitors. Enough to shake more than one.

The wearable will be available in China on June 07, but for now, no announcement on the date of its release in France.
