Misfit Flare – A simple and not too expensive activity tracker

Misfit has just released an easy-to-use and easy-to-understand activity tracker. The Misfit Flare offers only basic monitoring and is therefore marketed at a lower price than the brand's other products.

The Misfit Flare will be sold for $ 59.99. For this price, you will be able to know how far you have traveled and the number of calories burned. It can also track how you sleep at night if you wear it while you sleep.

Other than that, the Flare offers nothing more. You will not have access to the other features that you will find in a typical Misfit fitness tracker; such as call or message notifications. The price for these branded products starts at $ 99.99. The brand has therefore almost halved the price of its entry-level product to attract more and more users and try to compete with brands like Fitbit which offers the Flex, a tracker priced at $ 49.99.

One of the features that could set the Misfit Flare apart is its button which can be programmed to make your phone do a number of different things. Design level, nothing remarkable, the product could not be simpler; a little too much elsewhere. Like other Misfit trackers, the Flare has a replaceable battery that needs to be changed every four months. The device is also waterproof up to 50 meters, but you will have to pay an additional $ 9.99 to unlock the swim tracking.

Personally, I find this tracker still expensive compared to a competitor like Xiaomi. Remember, the Chinese brand offers much cheaper and more supplied fitness trackers in terms of functionality. For me, the Flare is therefore mainly aimed at people who buy wearable in shops and who do not have the good idea to compare on the internet the different existing offers.
