To support patients with sickle cell disease on a daily basis, a new mobile application has been launched: DrepaCare. Discovery.

Sickle cell disease is one of the most common genetic diseases in the world, affecting more than five million people. In addition, it is the first genetic disease in France, and greatly affects the Paris region. For example, the prevalence is: 1 in 550 births in Saint-Denis.

A widespread disease, it remains unknown to the general public. To centralize information on this pathology and support patients in its daily management, a new mobile application has been launched: DrepaCare.

This application makes it possible to answer all the questions posed by sickle cell patients and to bring them together on a single platform with the health actors involved (Associations, health professionals, disease experts, etc.).

DrepaCare offers:

  • daily support for sickle cell anemia through several functions (pain, hospitalization, health, food, sport, hydration, etc.)

  • accessibility to quality content (reliability of information) through collaboration with experts in the field.

  • the creation of a community bringing together sickle cell anemia, associations, health actors around the same platform in different regions and countries. They can chat with each other thanks to the forum, and leave testimonials thanks to the “testimony” functionality.
