Modular 41 – The new Tag Heuer smartwatch
Tag Heuer has just unveiled a new smartwatch: the Tag Heuer smart health connected Modular 41; a smaller version than the Modular 45 smartwatch introduced last year.
Tag Heuer made some improvements to the Modular 41. First, the brand improved the display by choosing an AMOLED screen of 326ppi, 390 x 390. The Modular 45 had a screen of 287ppi. The watch also has 8 GB storage; double the Modular 45. Finally, the watch is also water-resistant to 50 meters and incorporates GPS and NFC for Android Pay.
Personally, I found that the Modular 45 was already particularly successful but its size (45mm) was not suitable for the smallest wrists. Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of the brand, said that in addition to the Modular 41, a 39 mm version would soon see the light of day. Everyone should find a watch on their wrist.
But let's come back to the Modular 41. With 8 GB of storage the watch offers twice as much storage as the majority of Android Wear watches. So you can easily store your music and applications there.
The modularity of the watch is also very interesting. With seven basic options, you will be able to customize many elements of your watch.
In terms of price, Tag Heuer offers its new watch from £ 1,000. For the luxury version, you will still have to pay £ 14,500. Suffice to say that we are not on an entry-level smartwatch.
If, despite these fairly high prices, you want to buy a Tag Heuer smart health connected Modular 41, know that it is already possible to order them. Personally, I pass my turn because of the price! Even if the watch looks great, I think spending that much money on a product that will be obsolete very quickly is a bit of a waste. Other equally beautiful and functional smart health connected watches are offered at much more affordable prices.
