National Interuniversity Diploma in Telemedicine: it's back to school! Ehealth innovation

[ad_1]

Since 2014, the National Interuniversity Diploma in Telemedicine has trained project leaders in telemedicine. Presentation of this university training.

Telemedicine is a component of telehealth. According to the public health code (art. L.6316-1), it is "a form of remote medical practice using information and communication technologies". It must be based on a medical project that meets the priorities and needs of the population of a territory and health professionals. It is in this sense that it is part of a care path. Five acts of telemedicine are recognized: teleconsultation, tele-expertise, telesurveillance, medical tele-assistance and medical regulation.

To support health professionals with telemedicine projects, the University of Bordeaux with the collaboration of the Universities of Besançon, Caen, Lille, Montpellier and Nantes set up an IUD (Inter-University Diploma) dedicated to telemedicine in 2014 .

Coordinated by the Association Agir Pour la Télémédecine, with more than 285 students trained since its establishment in 2014, this IUD is the first National IUD in Telemedicine validating DPC in France.

The objective of this IUD is to provide participants with the knowledge necessary for setting up a telemedicine project within an establishment or within the framework of a liberal activity. A global and transversal approach is preferred. It is based on practical cases and a simulation in "Laboratory" telemedicine. Participants will, at the end of their training, be able to define, manage and evaluate their telemedicine project …

This training allows in particular:

  • to deepen their theoretical knowledge: legal and regulatory framework for telemedicine, recommendations for good practice, etc.

  • to design a telemedicine medical project

  • to have a global approach to telemedicine thanks to a transversal university vision

  • to experiment with clinical cases through simulations in the telemedicine laboratory

The National Telemedicine IUD will take place from November 21, 2019 to June 30, 2020. It is composed of 6 face-to-face & e-learning modules with courses and seminars, practical cases, webinars, videoconferences, a team of expert and recognized teachers.

Created in 2014, Act For Telemedicine educates and trains health professionals in this new medical practice. APLT is co-organizer of the National Inter-University Diploma in Telemedicine, is recognized as a Continuous Professional Development Organization (ODPC) and is admitted to Datadock. Agir Pour La Télémédecine also supports health professionals, health establishments but also territories for the deployment of coordinated telemedicine corresponding to the specificities of territories and care paths. The association supports the activities of the Telemedicine Foundation whose vocation is to develop a sector of excellence around research, training and innovation in telemedicine in France.
