The AstraZeneca laboratory is launching a new post-infarction coaching program: the Vaincoeur program. Presentation.

In France, around 120,000 people are affected by acute coronary syndrome each year. Far from being an isolated accident, myocardial infarction requires long-term changes: appropriate monitoring and follow-up in order to avoid recurrence as much as possible, but also the immediate adoption of a healthier lifestyle.

Supported by the Alliance du Coeur association, this Vaincoeur program aims to support the patient after a myocardial infarction, upon discharge from the hospital and in the months that follow. It is available through a website and a mobile application.

The Vaincœur application offers a 12-week follow-up program:

  • 44 short Smart health articles addressing medical or well-being issues divided into 6 categories: Care, Medicines, Tobacco, Activity, Nutrition, Stress.

  • Content adapted to the patient's profile: type of treatment (angioplasty, bypass surgery, sole treatment), smoking, excess weight and / or stress, etc.

  • Notifications (2 to 4 per week) which encourage the patient to consult the Smart health articles appropriate to his profile.

  • The "Take Reminder" function:very useful for promoting compliance with treatments, it is customizable and allows you to receive a notification 15 minutes before each medication is taken.

For its part, the website vaincoeur.com has been designed to respond simply and effectively to the questions, concerns and needs most frequently expressed by patients and those around them. It allows in particular to:

  • get to know the disease better,

  • better understand and manage their treatment,

  • but also to find practical information on how to quit smoking, adopt suitable eating practices, resume physical activity gently, or even manage your emotions.
