New smartwatches: Fitbit introduces three fitness trackers

The activity tracker manufacturer Fitbit presented three new fitness trackers today. After the Fitbit Force never really made it into stores due to allergic reactions from customers, the new Charge, Charge HR and flagship Surge models are now coming.

The Fitbit Charge is technically identical to the Force. The company has slightly adapted the design. Above all, skin irritation should no longer occur. The functionality of the batch includes counting steps and climbing stairs, displaying the distance covered and an option to monitoring and evaluate your own sleep. The OLED display can also display information about incoming calls. The Batch HR (For Heart rate) has integrated a heart rate monitoring in addition to the functions mentioned.

Fitbits surge is the new flagship model. The tracker has a larger display with a touchscreen. This can be used to remotely control the music player on the smartphone and receive notifications for incoming messages and calls. Like the Charge HR, the Surge has a heart rate monitoring; there is also GPS. The range of functions is somewhat limited compared to the competition, but this has a good effect on the battery life: According to the manufacturer, all three devices should last a whole week. The batch is now being sold in the United States for a price of $ 129. Charge HR and Surge are coming in early 2015 and are expected to cost $ 149 and $ 249 respectively.
