NiNite – A smart pacifier for your baby
Baby Goose and Hive Design have developed the world's first smart pacifier. Its name: NiNite.
Shane Rogers, the designer for NiNite, says he was tired of getting up in the middle of the night to find the lollipops his children lost in their beds at night.
He therefore solved this problem by adding a small plug containing microscopic sensors. These sensors also allow you to constantly monitoring your child's sleep state. When your child starts looking for their pacifier, NiNite responds by sparkling, buzzing and flashing.
Unlike bright lollipops that act as a beacon of light in the child's mouth, NiNite is only active when necessary. When the pacifier drops out of the baby’s mouth and the child begins to wake up and look for the pacifier, the smart device begins to glow gently and emit slight vibrations to help the child. As soon as the child seizes NiNite, the object goes out.
Like NiNite, smart baby products are invading our homes. They have experienced significant growth in recent years. Many companies are trying to offer a solution to monitoring the child's vital signs (heart rate, oxygen, temperature, activity level, etc.). NiNite, for its part, takes an alternative approach. The goal of Hive Design is to improve the sleep of the child … and the whole family.
Unlike some of these new products, this smart little pacifier emits no waves that could be harmful to children. Currently, its designers are recruiting parents who would like to participate in the Review phases that will determine the reception that could be made of the product. In addition, based on feedback from parents, new features may be added.
