Noki – The smart health connected lock
Noki is a smart smart health connected lock compatible with European cylinders. With it, you no longer need a key, you only need your smartphone.
Noki is presented as the first smart lock compatible with European cylinders, but that would be to forget one of the major players on this market: Okidokeys. After this detail, this smart health connected lock can be easily installed in a few minutes on top of your existing lock without removing it or replacing anything.
With its Bluetooth connection and GPS, Noki automatically detects when you approach your health home and opens the door for you. She also knows when you are at health home so as not to unlock the door. When you leave your health home, Noki locks the door behind you.
As I told you, this lock is easy to install: no need to replace the one you already have and your keys. Attach it to your existing lock on the inside of the door using the 3 screws provided. Then pair it to your Android or iPhone smartphone and you're ready to control your lock using the accompanying app.
Please note, however, that your door must meet the following requirements: it must be fitted with a European cylinder approximately 3 mm overlapped inside. If your door opens to the outside, make sure there is a minimum distance of 29mm between the center of your cylinder and the door frame. Finally, you must have a double cylinder with an emergency function.
Via the app, you can grant access rights to friends and family, but you can also restrict their access at any time. Invitations can be sent by SMS or E-Mail. It also displays the status of your door on the right on your smartphone. An access and notification log keeps you up to date with what's going on and happening.
Thanks to the Noki Bridge it is possible to lock and unlock your door wherever you are. The bridge allows you to control the lock using Bluetooth (approx. 10m), but also via a cellular connection. The bridge needs a WiFi connection and must be plugged into a power outlet no more than 10 meters from the door.
On the security side, the encryption used is similar to that used for online banking. Thanks to its AA batteries, you can use the lock for 300 days. As soon as the battery is low, you will receive a notification on your smartphone.
