Notch wants to revolutionize the world of coaching

The New York start-up Notch Interfaces has decided to relaunch a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. Her first campaign having failed in 2013, she hopes this time that her sensors dedicated to coaching will find takers.

Notch is a system made up of a series of wireless sensors that can be attached to clothing using small straps. It has accelerometers, gyroscopes, compasses and is able to record the movement of the user. This information is then sent, in real time, to the smartphone application in order to have a 3D view of the movement.

Aimed at athletes, including boxers and runners, as well as therapists, the company uses its own algorithms to record and analyze a variety of movement data. As with a coach, you can therefore be sure that you are making the right movements and adopting the right posture. Another good point: Notch is waterproof. Swimmers can therefore also use it during their training.

Depending on your needs, you will also be able to add or remove modules. It's up to you to arrange them on your body according to the movements you want to analyze. You will also have the option of adding or removing modules from anywhere on the body when you want to follow another type of movement. Small vibrations will then warn you when you make a bad movement to correct your posture. This could prevent you from bending down by making an inappropriate gesture or movement.
