Nox com Sleepace, the challenger of smart health connected sleep

[ad_1]

We already talked about it last July, now Nox from Sleepace is back for CES 2016. How is the system dedicated to sleep different from the competition?

Announced last July and presented at IFA 2015 in Berlin, Sleepace's Nox is a system to help you fall asleep. It consists of a magnetic stripe and a smart health connected pilot light. In the smart health connected sleep market, the Chinese brand's system acts as a challenger. Samsung has created a sensor called SleepSense, which will also be present at CES 2016.

Withings has already been installed on the market since 2014 with Aura, a magnetic strip associated with a smart health connected alarm emitting light and sounds to fall asleep and wake up its user. The tape records data on the quality of sleep (heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep cycles, etc.) and alarms information on the user's environment, including noise pollution. Everything is sent to an iOS and Android compatible application. This system is already available at a rate of 300 euros.

CES 2016: Nox, an improved copy of Aura?

Sleepace's Nox offers almost the same functions. When it was first presented, the price indicated was $ 149 for Nox, the night light, and $ 149 for RestOn, the smart health connected band. The set is available for pre-order for $ 279.99, slightly less than the competition.

The difference is in the pilot, Nox. It has an air sensor capable of measuring humidity and pollution in the room. The whole family can take advantage of their measures and pay attention to their state of health.. Sleepace first released the smart health connected band and the application, in order to differentiate itself from its direct competitor.

The choice between health or comfort

In the meantime, Withings has partnered with Nest. Aura communicates with the California company's thermostat. The temperature measurements are sent to adapt the heat of the room between 17 and 21 ° C overnight. The user's alarm is notified to the thermostat for a new adjustment at the start of the day. Nox also reads the room temperature, but does not communicate with a thermostat.

The still high price of these devices does not allow them to address a large number of users. For those who can afford it, you have to choose between a system that has already proven itself in terms of improving sleep comfort, and the newcomer with more health-oriented features. CES 2016 will be an opportunity for Sleepace to prove its difference.
