Nuheara Unveils New Live IQ and IQbuds Boost Headphones
With the closure of the Doppler Labs companies in 2017, new companies have entered the market for augmented audio smart headphones. The Australian start-up Nuheara is one of them and intends to take a large part of the cake left by its competitor.
Nuheara has indeed designed headphones that allow you to take control of what you hear. More recently, it has also launched two new products: Live IQ and IQbuds Boost.
The first new model that I suggest you discover is therefore the IQbuds Boost, which aims to offer more customization and more sophisticated amplification than the current IQbuds. He introduces something that Nuheara calls the Ear ID. The latter assesses a user's hearing profile to create a more personalized hearing experience; a product very close to what Doppler offered with the Here One.
The second novelty is the LiveIQ. Thinner, this second product also offers an active noise cancellation function. Existing headphones will benefit from improved performance, bringing the battery life to 20 hours for Bluetooth streaming and 40 hours of audio processing.
In terms of availability, the IQbuds Boost will be available for purchase in April 2018, although there is no pricing information at this time. LiveIQ headphones will be sold for less than $ 200 and will be available for pre-order in early 2018. Delivery of the latter product is scheduled for summer 2018.
To date, the first IQbuds are among the best smart headphones on the market. So adding two new models and upgrading the first generation can only be a good omen. Personally, I can't wait to Review them! The three Nuheara headphone models will be on display at CES 2018 in Las Vegas.
