Nuviz HUD finally ready, 4 years after its crowdfunding campaign

Obviously, creating a smart health connected helmet for bikers is not that easy. The Skully company and its Nuviz HUD helmet learned it at their expense since it took them four years to realize their idea.

Nuviz HUD raised $ 200,000 in 2013 during a crowdfunding campaign. Today, four years later, the device is ready for sale in the United States and Europe. So what does this smart health connected device offer? What does it contain that justifies such a delay in deliveries?

The Nuviz HUD can be fitted to most motorcycle helmets and uses optical start-up technology to create a virtual image that seems to float before your eyesight. It can then be used for features such as navigation with directional instructions, to capture HD ehealth (up to 1080p) and take 8 megapixel photos. Data can be stored on a Micro SD card. You can also stream music from services like Spotify and even take calls.

This smart health smart health connected object is equipped with a Qualcomm quad-core processor and many sensors such as GPS, accelerometers, gyroscope and altimeter. To communicate, the Nuviz HUD uses Bluetooth and WiFi. A 3,250 mAh battery should provide approximately eight hours of battery power; enough to use it all day long.

A price nevertheless much less important than that of the smart helmet of Skully. Hopefully for all backers, this smart health connected product was worth waiting four years to receive it …
