The ONE Mini is a fairly simple device to use. It works both offline and with its associated application. You activate the device, and it starts recording, translating, and transcribing audio using a cloud service. Ideal for a conversation with instant translation and in a very discreet way.

Recordings are kept on the phone and there is an option for a cloud service. But it probably won't be necessary given the compact size of these audio files. If you want to translate a conversation with a person whose language you do not speak, you choose two of the twelve languages ​​integrated into the application. The transcript will appear on the phone and the ONE Mini can erase the translation from its small robotic voice.

The ONE Mini also has a headphone jack that allows it to act as a wireless playback device for recordings or your music, or to take calls using the built-in microphones. Lightweight and with a small clip, it's probably best to connect directly to your phone in many cases.

There is also a 24-hour interpretation hotline, 7 days a week, at the rate of two dollars per minute. In an emergency, it can be very helpful to have a panic button that links you directly to someone who speaks the two languages ​​you have selected.

Currently, you can pre-order a ONE Mini for $ 79; which seems reasonable to me. The project has already exceeded its target and is expected to be shipped in June. The wait should therefore not be long.
