OneRing to shake Parkinson's

[ad_1]

Californian students have developed a wearable for people with Parkinson's disease. A smart health connected and intelligent way to improve the analysis of the movements of patients victims of this pathology.

motion capture

OneRing was specially designed for Parkinson's patients

It generates health status reports of patients affected by this disease. Taking into account the relative data to the patient's movements, this wearable identifies, using an algorithm, the intensity of the tremors. This data is then classified according to their severity, to testify to the patient's state of health.

OneRing therefore quantifies the patient's movements, and theapplication (available on Android and iOS) use the data collected. A report is generated and the application models different diagrams of the disease. Thedoctors can then access it to prescribe the most adequate treatment possible.

Launched on KickStarter, OneRing is 3D printed, and the concept has collected more than twice the amount he needed. Its price is displayed at 100 dollars on the crowdfunding site, roughly 90 euros.

A great initiative on the part of Tandon, a young high school student as talented as promising, to improve the lives of patients with Parkinson's, and prevent the disease from progressing.
