Oppo Watch: discover its technical sheet before time

The technical sheet of the Oppo Watch, the smart health connected watch that the manufacturer must reveal at the same time as the Oppo Find X2 has just leaked on Weibo. We discover a device under Snapdragon Wear 2500 with an EKG sensor and a 5 ATM diving resistance.

The Apple Watch dominates the smartwatches market fairly widely, which pushes the big smartphone manufacturers to persevere to find the formula that will reverse this establishment. In the most attractive alternatives to the Apple Watch, we expect a lot from the Oppo Watch, a smart health connected watch that evokes a lot of the master of the market, in design and functionality, but for a much lower price, while being compatible with Android smartphones.

A leak from the Chinese digital chat session leaker on Weibo reveals or confirms the elements of the technical sheet. The Oppo Watch should therefore have a 1.91 ″ curved OLED screen with a pixel density of 326 ppi capable of rendering 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The watch will be powered by a Snapdragon Wear 2500 SoC paired with an Apollo 3 co-processor. Like the most recent Apple Watches, this watch will include an EKG sensor.

As well as a more basic heart rate sensor. Another parallel with the Apple Watch, this watch will offer a “speakerphone” functionality which is very similar to the “walkie-talkie” functionality of watches from the Cupertino company. Oppo had already tried this feature. According to Digital chat session, the smartwatch resists diving, up to 5 ATM, which corresponds to 50 meters deep.

Unsurprisingly, the device should run Google Wear OS. According to GSMArena, the Oppo Watch will be available in black, white and gold. It should be sold around 2000 Yuan which is roughly 259 €.
