From January 7-10, the big innovation show takes place in Las Vegas: the CES (Consumer Electronic Show). Overview of announcements from the first days in the health field.
At CES in Las Vegas, the Strasbourg start-up Moon presents its application intended to reinforce the monitoring, communication and personalized support of diabetic patients by their doctors thanks to a remote monitoring platform with artificial intelligence (AI). Downloadable for free, this application allows a patient to provide daily data (blood sugar level, physiological constants, general condition) for monitoring their health.
During this CES 2020, Withings unveils its brand new smartwatch, ScanWatch, capable of performing EKGs and detecting sleep apnea. This new watch was developed with researchers, cardiologists and sleep experts. It is the world's first watch capable of detecting atrial fibrillation, the most common cardiac arrhythmia, of notifying the user of an irregular heartbeat and of detecting sleep apnea.
The Lille start-up My Cyber Kingdom unveils at CES Good Cells, its first range serving cognitive health and well-being. These are modules of virtual universes that use virtual reality to prevent, reduce and treat cognitive impairment. In immersion, the patient can perform acts of daily life, explore distant lands or work to remove his social phobias, by taking public transport or by staying in a crowd. My Cyber Royaume offers an inclusive innovation solution accessible to people with disabilities or dependency, in partnership with APF France Handicap.
On the occasion of CES, the start-up MySofie presented its mobile application allowing to centralize and follow its expenses and its reimbursements, teleconsultation and order of drugs. The goal of MySofie is to synchronize all types of complementary health and social security schemes, and build a complete digital service offering: monitoring and centralization of the expenses of the whole family, teleconsultation, sending prescriptions to pharmacies …
The hearing aid specialist Oticon won two Innovation Awards for its Xceed and Remotecare solutions. Oticon Xceed is a hearing aid with a technology that analyzes and balances sounds, to bring out sources of speech while reducing noise. Oticon Remotecare is a new e-health solution that allows healthcare professionals to provide remote follow-up sessions to their patients. These hearing aids are associated with a mobile application that allows professionals to remotely monitoring their patients, to communicate during the first days and the first weeks after the adaptation of new hearing aids, to make if necessary the necessary adjustments.
