[ad_1]

On March 9, 2020, Apple announced live the launch of Apple Watch and the new Macbook. The same day, Pebble was collecting $ 6,000 an hour for its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter and finishing at $ 16,000 an hour the day after the announcement. An outbreak caused by the announcement of Apple’s smartwatch according to TechCrunch, which states that Pebble would have received 167% more funds per hour than usual, since the launch of the campaign.

Sales skyrocketing commented on Twitter by Paul Graham, co-founder of Y Combinator, a start-up incubator:

Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky is pretty happy with the excitement then, and even commented on the news, telling TechCrunch: “When the world's largest company enters your market, it’s the kind of validation you never imagined in a dream".

A dream that continues for the very young Pebble company, which already familiar with the technological giants with his little e-paper smart health connected watch, funded at more than two million dollars from the first day of his campaign on Kickstarter. As of March 16, 2020, the Pebble Time, available in the Pebble Time Steel version, a version with stainless steel bracelets, has just extended the range and increased the offer for backers. The current Pebble Time Kickstarter campaign page shows a total of over 18,000 dollars raised, for almost 73,000 supporters,… And there are still eleven days left in the campaign! The question is : Will Pebble Time reach $ 20 million in funding?
