personalized application for better living with multiple sclerosis

[ad_1]

On the occasion of World Multiple Sclerosis Day, May 30, 2018, the Biogen laboratory is launching a personalized mobile application for living better with multiple sclerosis (MS): Cleo. Discovery.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) affects around 100,000 people in France. This inflammatory pathology of the central nervous system leads to a progressive destruction of the myelin sheath which surrounds the nerve fibers and can cause numerous sequelae and handicaps. It usually starts between 20 and 30 years old, especially in women.

People living with multiple sclerosis have a real need for information and support, but the existing services are sometimes incomplete and rarely designed with patients. It is to respond to this problem that the Biogen laboratory is launching the mobile application Cleo.

This application was born out of a collaboration with many patients with multiple sclerosis around the world (Germany, France, United States) and offers information, support and tools to overcome the difficulties of daily life and living better with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Cleo is based on four features to help patients live better lives with MS every day:

  • Reliable and personalized information for better daily living.

  • Online messaging with a nurse * to answer patient questions.

  • A logbook to track their health data and if they wish to share it with their doctor.

  • Well-being programs developed by health professionals and adapted to patients living with multiple sclerosis.

The application will be updated regularly to integrate new content and develop functionalities thanks to feedback from patients and patient associations.
