PIQ wants to help athletes improve
[ad_1]
It is not always easy to progress in a sport, when you reach a certain level, you often tend to stagnate. The PIQ company markets electronic coaches and it has just updated its products with an artificial intelligence called Gaia. This assistant will allow athletes to analyze their gestures and techniques in order to perfect them and take a new course in mastering their favorite sport.
PIQ currently offers sensors for four sports, tennis, golf, kitesurf and ski, developed in partnership with equipment manufacturers (Babolat, Mobitee, North and Rossignol). These small sensors, called PIQ Robot, offer athletes who wear them a lot of statistics, recorded during their training sessions, which then gives them tracks on what they need to work, for example. By integrating Gaia artificial intelligence into their sensor, the latter will no longer just display raw data but it will analyze the athlete's actions and be able to identify the different actions.
PIQ puts artificial intelligence at the service of sport
Artificial intelligences are more and more developed, they are even capable of beating humans in the game of Go for example. It is therefore not surprising to find them more and more in everyday life. The artificial intelligence developed by the company PIQ will be able to analyze the data collected by its smart health connected sensors in order to help athletes improve their performance. This makes the data easier to understand and more concrete.
" Our technology allows athletes to no longer simply measure their performance, but to be supported by receiving personalized advice to achieve victory. Our ambition now is to directly integrate our technologies into sports products to provide a fully integrated experience for athletes Explained the co-founder and president of the start-up, Cédric Mangaud.
Measure the progress of athletes
Gaia will not just analyze the results of a session but will compare with previous sessions and offer advice accordingly. This will allow the athlete to measure their progress and adapt its future training sessions based on the results presented by the AI.
PIQ has also provided its artificial intelligence millions of data, collected from great athletes. Gaia is therefore able to compare the data from the users of the sensors with those of these top athletes to define the accuracy of a backhand for tennis, a swing for golf or even the height of a jump for kitesurfing. . The PIQ CEO announces that within the next few weeks, his company will launch 20 other sports.
