Compatible with various bicycle watches and counters, Polar, the manufacturer's OH1 branded cardio and cuff, offers the ability to track heart rate as closely as possible, with or without a smartphone.

Heart rate monitoring belts and other watches or wristbands measuring heart rate have a new rival. His name: the OH1. Developed by Polar, this six-LED cardio armband is positioned on the forearm or biceps of the user. Obviously, it is of a purely sporting use, even if the OH1 measures the heart rate continuously (thus being able to be regarded as a product "health").

Weighing 5 grams (12 grams for its cuff), waterproof up to 30 meters, the OH1 runs on rechargeable battery and has a battery life of 12 hours thanks to its 45 mAh lithium battery. Its 4 MB internal memory stores up to 200 hours of data. These can then be synchronized with the Polar Flow app. This is particularly interesting if you have another Polar product, such as the V800 sports watch or the M430 already tested by Digital, or even a bike counter like the M460 or the V650 of the brand.

In this second case, one will associate its GPS plot with its cardio frequency and one will be able to more evaluate the quality of the efforts provided. Thanks to the OH1, the realization of a training without having to "be encumbered" of his smartphone is possible. Others will favor a continuous vision of their heart rate on the screen of their terminal. The combination of the Polar Beat application and the OH1 makes it possible to conduct a training based on the heart rate (in particular during an activity in gym).

Launched at € 79.90, the OH1 is clipped in its washable textile cuff. The Polar H10 chest strap is available (89,90 €). It has the advantage, unlike the OH1, to be able to transmit heart rate data in water (with a 5 kHz transmission).
