Polar releases a smart health connected t-shirt for team sports

If Polar is better known for its heart rate sensors and smart health connected watches, the Finnish company has announced today the release of its first t-shirt smart health connected. It is primarily aimed at sports professionals (collective) on the American continent.

Known as the Polar Team Pro Shirt, this "smart" garment incorporates sensors to measure in real time the heart rate and the location of its wearer – two parameters on which Polar has been capitalizing for several years. Unlike the players already present on the segment, Polar has perfectly managed to integrate its sensors into the fabric to make them completely invisible. A condition that seems pretty obvious when you know that its products are already tested by several NBA, NHL or NFL teams.

Visualize the physical state of a team from an iPad

In addition to the individual performance that is measured by each t-shirt, the team coach can also view on the screen of an iPad in real time the performance of all his players. In the manner of a Football Manager, the coach can see live the physical state of his players and make any changes.

Polar has not yet announced the price of his product, but he intends to deliver the first teams in March. It is undeniable that the weight of the brand and its experience will allow it to seriously put in difficulty its competitors Hexoskin or OMSignal, two pure-players of the smart clothing.
