Polar scale is a smart health connected scale at 99 dollars presented by the eponymous brand at CES 2016 in Las Vegas. A real novelty for this brand rather accustomed to market sports performance measurement devices.

Polar scale first surprises with its price. Then, at first glance, this smart health connected scale seems to be just like other smart health connected scales. Like that of Fitbit, Withings, or Under Armor. To use it, nothing simpler: just climb on it! Once your weight has been calculated, the scale sends the information to a mobile application or to one of the wearables. Nothing new on the horizon. In fact, the Polar smart health connected scale is mainly differentiated by its price. That of Withings costs $ 150 and that of Under Armor costs $ 180.

The Polar scale is light and has a very classic square design: unlike that of Under Armor which is rather imposing and round. It is therefore easy to pick up, move and store. At the software level, nothing very new either. However, it will be possible to discover on the application the Weight Speedometer functionality which will tell you the efforts you need to do that day and how many calories you need to burn to maintain the weight goals you have set.
