Presentation of the Cloudio for Raspberry Pi
We will together discover an extension card for our favorite Raspberry Pi, it is about Cloudio designed by the company GraspIO.
A card small in size but large in capacity. As small as it is powerful, the Cloudio allow you to harness the full power of the Rapsberry Pi.
With its integrated sensors and smartphone app, the Cloudio is clearly intended for those who have no programming knowledge but who want to embark on the adventure of DIY.
Without further ado let's set off to explore the Cloudio.
Presentation of Cloudio
The Cloudio is an extension card for the Raspberry Pi that allows you to easily transform it into a smart health smart health connected object. Designed to be accessible to everyone, you absolutely do not need any programming or development knowledge.
The Cloudio is presented as a simple card to associate with the Raspberry Pi via the “GPIO” terminal block. Compatible with Android and iOS, this small card has many sensors:
0.96 ″ OLED screen
RGB and Buzzer LED indicators
Sensors: proximity, light, temperature, switch
3 ADC 5V ports to connect other sensors (humidity, movements, …)
3 digital 5 V outputs ideal for health home automation
5V mini servomotor port.
IFTT integration
The OLED screen allows you to display data from different sensors, such as light intensity, temperature and many other parameters to be programmed directly from your smartphone or tablet.
In addition it is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 1/2/3 / Zero and Zero W.
Programming without fuss
Thanks to the mobile app GraspIO Studio available on Android and iOS, the programming of Cloudio is within everyone's reach. A simple drag and drop from your smartphone or tablet is enough to create different instructions and associate various sensors on the card.
As we can see, even if it is in English, it remains very visual and easily understandable.
And of course, we can save and manage our Raspberry Pi remotely from the GraspIO IoT Cloud.
Conclusion:
After a few weeks of use I admit that it is very easy and quick to start designing your smart health connected objects.
For 35 € it is a good investment to introduce children to programming and health home automation.
