Presentation of the Sonoff Touch smart health connected switch

Today we are going to discover the Sonoff Touch which is nothing less than a smart health connected and touch switch. And yes just that.

You already know it, Itead offers many smart health connected products for the health home, but what catches my attention the most is the smart health connected switch. It is a tool that has several advantages, already to save money, but it contributes to the security of your health home by making it appear that there is someone at health home.

Without further ado, let's discover this little gem of technology.

Introducing the Itead Sonoff Touch

The Sonoff Touch is available in US and EU version, of course we will focus on the EU version. The only difference is the shape of the box, round here and rectangular in the United States.

It arrives in a beautiful cardboard box well presented with illustrations of use. Inside is the switch and its user manual.

The whole is of good design and the sober and somewhat futuristic design. this will be summed up by a blue ring on a white background.

Side functionality i as you mentioned, this is a touch switch which is intended to replace an existing traditional switch. A very important point to note from continued c‘Is the fact that in order to work, the switch must have phase and neutral. That is to say three wires in the box as illustrated below.

I note it clearly because it sometimes happens that in some constructions, there is no phase and neutral in the switch box.

Our Sonoff Touch comes with an application available on Android and iOS which works via WiFi. Thanks to this, the Sonoff Touch fworks perfectly with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT and Google Nest.

In addition it is possible to program the lighting of the lamps from anywhere and anytime. It is also possible to delegate control to other family members, if you go on vacation for example.

Conclusion

With a very low price around 12 €. It is a good investment because it is cheaper than a smart health connected bulb or most similar modules.

The application is relatively simple to use and in French, for an example go to one of my previous articles. As the module is based on a ESP8266, personally I reprogram it Sonoff Touch with Tasmota in order to easily integrate it into my Jeedom.
