On the occasion of an event in China, Oppo presented many novelties. Among the most interesting announcements, the Chinese brand has lifted the veil on Reno3 and 3 Pro, two mid-range smartphones and compatible 5G.

At the end of last November, we were telling you the (small) advertising campaign that Oppo had done around its Reno3 Pro 5G. On December 10th, the BBK Electronics firm definitely presented this smartphone.

It is clear that the information we provided at the time was (almost) accurate. Thus, the mobile will well embellish a screen Amoled 6.5 inches. Exit the retractable module for the selfie camera. This one, equipped with a 20 megapixel sensor, now finds its place in a punch at the top left of the screen. The "integral" screen so dear to Oppo is relegated to the model with the selfie module concealed directly under the slab and should not be released before 2021. It is also noted that Oppo abandons the 3.5mm mini-jack.

The screen will have a refresh rate of 90 Hz for an ever more fluid display. To make his device work, Oppo has chosen the SoC "gaming" Snapdragon 765G that has just been unveiled by Qualcomm. The latter integrates a 5G modem. With its reduced thickness (7.7 mm), Oppo says the Reno3 Pro is currently the world's thinnest 5G smartphone. The brand plans to release two versions of its device: one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage; the other with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.

The terminal will benefit from a 4000 mAh battery compatible with Oppo's fast charge 65 W, SuperVOOC 2.0. The manufacturer announces that it is possible to fully recharge the device in 30 min.

Regarding the photo part, the phone gets a four-sensor module, the main sporting a 64-megapixel wide-angle lens. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel sensor, a 13-megapixel camera and a 20-megapixel camera. We know that two of these sensors will be equipped with an ultra wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens.

A Reno3 to the lightened technical sheet

In parallel with this announcement, the Chinese manufacturer has introduced the "little brother" Reno3 Pro, called soberly Reno3. This smartphone is very similar, the main distinction being internal with the Snapdragon 765G SoC replaced by a less expensive MediaTek MT6873, but also compatible with 5G. Note that for this model, the selfie module is concealed in a teardrop notch and not a punch.

For now officialized only in China, we do not know the release date in France, let alone the prices.
