Rick and Morty smartwatch may soon see the light of day

According to Variety's information, a Rick and Morty smartwatch may soon see the light of day and is under development.

This Rick and Morty smartwatch was created by the One61 team; the team behind three recent superhero-themed devices. One61 would also work on Pip-Boy hardware for the Fallout ehealth game series.

Details are slim at the moment, but the report says smartwatches should be ready in time to coincide with the launch of Fallout 76; as well as season four of Rick And Morty, that is to say in about a year.

But then, what will this Rick And Morty watch offer? If we use the Batman, Flash and Wonder Woman watches recently launched by One61 as a reference, the theme should be fully exploited.

For example, GIFs and ehealth clips could be integrated into the watch and used by smartwatch functionality; such as notifications, music control, alarms, etc.

Also, as with watches on the theme of superheroes, devices can also take different forms. And while we can dream of a smart health watch inspired by Rick's portal gun, it's more likely that we will have to settle for a rectangular and circular variant of each.

Next, it's worth noting that you can already transform your smart health watch with a Fallout theme. There are watch faces for Galaxy Watches while Wear watch owners can access these themes via the Google Play Store. However, there is nothing for Rick and Morty fans.

Finally, although the news is encouraging and One61 indicates that the development of licensed watches is underway, do not expect to get them in the coming months. So you will have to be patient … but I will tell you more as soon as I have more information.
