The manufacturer of PIQ smart health connected objects and the ski equipment manufacturer Rossignol are releasing a sensor to monitoring the activity of a skier. It will also adapt well to the skiers preferring the track than to the amateurs of the powder and the freestyle.
The French PIQ is in shape. After forming partnerships to offer a follow-up of the tennis or golf sessions in particular, it is skiing that the Ile-com-France firm is now attacking. And what better for that than to associate with one of the historic actors of ski manufacturing, also hexagonal: Rossignol. The result of the collaboration of the two companies is a sensor design identical to that of other PIQ sensors: with a 13-axis gyroscope, it comes with a strap to attach it to any ski boot.
The measured data are, for example: the speed, the force G or the angle taken during turns. The freestylers they can know the time spent in the air, the force G to pose or the amplitude of their rotations. As with other PIQ sensors, the data can be viewed live on the smartphone application (iOS and Android), to which the device connects with Bluetooth. As with most activity tracker apps nowadays, it's possible to share his exploits on social networks.
Available pre-order for 149 €however, you only need to pay € 49 if you already have another PIQ sensor; simply to equip you with the strap to attach it to the shoe.
