Rumors around HTC's smartwatch

PETRA, its code name, HTC's smartwatch, may soon appear. Its launch would indeed be scheduled for the first quarter of 2015.

PETRA, according to the leaks, would offer a flexible 1.8-inch screen, a PMOLED display 32 x 160 pixels, a Cortex-M3 processor, Bluetooth connectivity and a GPS. This wearable smart health smart health connected object would be IP57 approved: resistant to water and dust.

Although we don't know much about the battery, it should last about 3 days on a single charge. Also rumored, users will be able to control the alarm, stopwatch, music, APN trigger, calendar and notifications from their cell phones. Also on the menu is the control of sports activity and sleep.

Latest rumor: HTC could choose RTOS, its health home operating system instead of Google's Android Wear. This smartwatch will be compatible with phones running Android 4.4 or later and Apple products with iOS 7.0 or later.
