Runtastic Moment succeeds the Runtastic Orbit
The Runtastic Moment succeeds the Runtastic Orbit. This analog smartwatch also acts as a fitness tracker. The company, which has recently been bought by Adidas, seems to be working hard against its competitors.
The Runtastic Moment smartwatch competes directly with products like the Withings Activity or the Helvetica No.1 Smart. Like these two devices, the Moment is equipped with an accelerometer integrated in the body of the watch in order to follow its activity, its sleep and obviously read the time.
This new smart health connected watch will offer three different designs to adapt to different wrist sizes and will offer different styles. There will be the Fun version, the Basic version, the Elite version and finally the Classic version. The Moment Fun and the Moment Basic are smaller with a silicone strap while the Moment Elite is made of stainless steel. The Moment Classic is even smaller than the Basic, and undoubtedly more feminine, offers a silver version, a gold version and a rose gold version.
These watches are very similar anyway and all have the same style as that offered by the Withings or Helvetica devices. However, Runtastic could well differentiate itself with prices ranging from £ 99 for the Basic and Classic to £ 149 for the Elite model.
The Runtastic Moment uses a battery that can run for six months on a single charge. It is waterproof up to 300 meters although it does not offer features for swimmers. Small flat also as regards the tracking of your jogging: during synchronization with the Runtastic application, only the distance will be displayed thanks to the hands and you will have to run with the GPS of your phone on. This new watch from Runtastic therefore undoubtedly woos casual users. The Runtastic Moment is already available on the Runtastic online store.
