Samsung presents its Galaxy Watch Active 2, a connected watch with ECG
[ad_1]
While the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active was released about a year ago, the Korean brand unveils the Watch Active 2, its new smartwatch that features ECG functionality. Here's what its about.
If Apple had caused a sensation in its keynote of 2018 by presenting the Apple Watch Series 4, a smartwatch with the electrocardiogram, the apple brand is definitely not the only brand to offer this option on a watch. In addition to Withings and its Move ECG, which is scheduled to be released soon, Samsung is coming with its new Galaxy Watch Active 2.
If the features with the first model are quite similar, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 has the undeniable advantage of having the ECG, a tool that can detect certain cardiac abnormalities. Nevertheless, it will not be available from the marketing of the connected watch and will arrive a little later. Meanwhile, users will enjoy a heart sensor, a GPS, an accelerometer, a barometer and a gyroscope. Currently, there are about 40 different sports activities that are taken into account, where 7 can be activated automatically.
The watch also offers Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC, which allows for contactless payments.
In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 changes in that it reintroduces the rotating crown, a trademark on the connected watches of the Korean company. However, this one is not physical like on the other models, but tactile.
As for pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be marketed for $ 279. She is expected on September 27 in the USA, but we do not know when she will go out in France and what will be her price.
