The Creative Labs branch of Samsung (established in 2012) is a department specializing in innovations that aims to support and encourage the creativity of its employees. The laboratory has already completed 70 projects invented by its employees, supporting more than a hundred, and 40 are currently under development. Today there are 3 new concepts of smart health connected objects that will be presented at CES 2016, alongside SleepSense, at Eureka Park, a section of the show dedicated to start-ups.

WELT – The smart health connected belt

Welt presents itself as a health tracker belt designed to help manage your waist by analyzing our daily habits and our behavior. It remains anyway discreet because its resemblance to a basic belt is appropriate. Able to record the waistline, the time spent sitting, the eating habits and equipped with pedometerit transmits this information to an application that analyzes it and proposes personalized fitness strategies.

RINK – A VR controller

Rink is a manual controller for virtual reality headset, like the one that is waiting for the Oculus Rift. According to Samsung, the immersion is more intense with a tool offering such possibilities: we imagine slider between items, use it to direct a racket playing tennis … It seems like a Wiimote! It remains to be seen if it will only be compatible with the Gear VR or if it will be more open.

TIPTALK – An innovation for smartwatch

TIPtalk is a new user experience that can help hear sounds from its smart health connected objects. Samsung announces it as "The future of communications via wearables" and promises a better call quality. It's actually a bracelet, which you can add to a smartwatch like the Gear S2 (and others, hopefully), and that will allow you to to call without a headset or earphones simply by touching your ear with your finger, while reducing noise around you. In summary, it is actually an external speaker, which you can buy if your smart health connected watch does not.

TipTalk syncs with your smartphone, can to transcribe your lyrics into text, and will also compatible with analog watches !
