A system that concerns divers and Internet users

If you've ever watched dive videos, you've probably dreamed of experiencing it yourself. But discovering the biggest diving spots around the world requires finance, experience and time. Akwatyx multimedia project could soon make it more accessible to everyone.

Akwatyx is based on two elements. The first is an aquatic console named Dolphyn. It is equipped with a PC, a 10-inch screen, HD cameras, a joystick, a multitude of sensors, a GPS and a buoy smart health connected in 4G. The other is the platform through which internet users can access images shared by divers in real time. Images that can be accessed in the traditional way using a smartphone, tablet or PC. But this is also the main interest through an augmented reality or virtual reality headset.

In reality, the possibilities seem almost limitless. You can very well enjoy it from your living room or large television. But why not also use it at the pool to enjoy while you swim in an elevated view that makes you feel like you're on the Australian seabed ?

Akwatyx, discovering the aquatic world

smart health connected diving is a growing phenomenon, we were talking about it a few days ago. The accessories are multiplying in order to allow divers to make the most of their experience and take quality photos. But it is to our knowledge the first project which wants to allow both to do streaming and having an enhanced diving experience.

Behind this project is the Virtual Dive company. Founded by Alain Dinis, it is based on passion. “In 1996, I discovered, thanks to diving, the Great Barrier Reef. I then thought that the underwater world should not only be accessible to a few million divers but to everyone. It was the beginnings of the Internet and multimedia. 20 years later, technologies are now powerful enough to make this dream a reality. To connect divers with the rest of the world. To allow potentially anyone at any time to discover the best diving spots in the world ” he explains in a ehealth presentation.

No market entry date has yet been announced. Akwatyx has just accelerated the Parisian incubator "Le Tremplin" in order to accelerate its launch on the market.
