Securifi adds a dose of health home automation to its routers

Securifi has just added a good dose of health home automation to its routers. The company has just announced new features for its smart routers to help them better position themselves in this market.

Securifi believes that its products must no longer hide; evidenced by its latest Almond routers; routers with a sophisticated design and equipped with a screen. So it made sense to add health home automation to them. Besides, the Almond, launched in 2012, can hang on the wall. The latest model, launched in 2014, combines performance and design. It will now also be health home automation.

The new health home automation features that have been added to these routers work on the same principle as the IFTTT service. However, Securifi chose to execute these commands locally and therefore does not need the internet to operate. The Almond + router is compatible with ZigBee and Z-Wave technologies; making it compatible with thousands of different health home automation modules. Apparently, the system would be easily configurable through the accompanying smartphone application.

Anyway, Securifi offers a really interesting and original solution by integrating the health home automation hub directly into a router and therefore transforming it into a health home automation hub capable of controlling the whole house.
