[ad_1]

Our weekly summary is there to remind you of the latest information through key figures. This week, we are learning more and more about the importance of the e-health market, details have been given on the increase in cyber-attacks and Predix, General Electric's IoT platform and on future projects from Village By CA based in Paris.

10 trends that will shake up the future of IoT

According to Gartner, IoT rhymes with security. Indeed, with the rise of smart health connected objects, our lives will be more likely to be hacked. According to Symantec, between 2014 and 2015, cyber attacks increased by 35%. A number that is due to the rise of IoT. It will therefore be necessary to put in place cyber insurance and security technologies to protect smart health connected devices and the information passing through them.

(Study) Emerging countries believe more in the importance of e-healthPhillips recently revealed the results of the first edition of Future Health Index (FHI), a large international study which explores how the countries of the world are positioned to respond to the challenges of global health, in the long term, through e-health technologies.

The Future Health Index focuses on three important and necessary factors to move towards a more integrated health care system:integration of the current health system, thereaccess to healthcare and theadoption of smart health connected health technologies, devices and systems. Future Health Index reveals readiness levels across different markets and reveals areas for improvement to encourage wider adoption of e-health worldwide.

United Arab Emirates achieves best readiness rate on all participating countries with a score of 65.3%. Next come the Netherlands and China with scores of 58.9% and 58.1%. Germany, Brazil and Japan however received lower readiness scores with respectively 54.5%, 50.6% and 49%.

Predix, a new platform dedicated to IoT signed General Electric

Cisco's former number 2, Bill ruh is behind this initiative. Recruited in 2011 to lead General Electric Digital – an organization providing digital solutions and services dedicated to the industrial world and which weighs approximately $ 6 billion in the market – he had the project to develop the group IoT platform, which is calledPredix. A center of this kind was created in San Ramon, California, where 1,400 software engineers, including 250 data scientists and 80 design specialists, work together. The goal here is to replicate the model of this center elsewhere in the world as expressed by the leader, Bill Ruh. Paris has therefore seen the development of a lab called Digital Foundry, spearheaded by Vincent Champain, Managing Director of General Electric Digital Europe.

Available since 2015, Predix was built on Cloud Foundry, the Paas (platform as a service) of Pivotal. Pivotal is an American software publisher, which provides solutions and services for agile web and mobile application development, a native Paas cloud platform, and a suite of solutions for real-time storage and analysis of Big Data. . General Electric has invested $ 105 million to use the publisher’s technologies for its analytical services. The company's platform has also relied on locally deployed software called Predix Machine, which could be compatible with a controller associated with the equipment. Like a Rasberry Pi, for example. On the controllers, software for data collection, sorting, encryption are deported.

Village By CA: at two, he takes off

The Village by CA of Agricultural credit is two years old. This initiative by the famous banking firm takes the form of an open innovation space where large companies rub shoulders with startups. It strongly resembles a commercial café 3.0 in which young and old alike share knowledge, management methods and new economic models. This anniversary was an opportunity to take note of the feedback from the leaders invested in this almost unique project.

After presenting a study on the relationships between companies and startups, 5 guests presented their experiences in the Village by CA in Paris. The bank wants to open around thirty villages in France (7 have already opened in the four corners of France), but also, soon in two major world capitals: New York and Singapore.
