(Study) Emerging countries believe more in the importance of e-healthPhillips recently revealed the results of the first edition of Future Health Index (FHI), a large international study which explores how the countries of the world are positioned to respond to the challenges of global health, in the long term, through e-health technologies.

The Future Health Index focuses on three important and necessary factors to move towards a more integrated health care system:integration of the current health system, thereaccess to healthcare and theadoption of smart health connected health technologies, devices and systems. Future Health Index reveals readiness levels across different markets and reveals areas for improvement to encourage wider adoption of e-health worldwide.

United Arab Emirates achieves best readiness rate on all participating countries with a score of 65.3%. Next come the Netherlands and China with scores of 58.9% and 58.1%. Germany, Brazil and Japan however received lower readiness scores with respectively 54.5%, 50.6% and 49%.

Predix, a new platform dedicated to IoT signed General Electric

Cisco's former number 2, Bill ruh is behind this initiative.
