SKIN DEIXER RETINOL – Anti Aging

[ad_1]

retinol is a substance that is indispensable in the fight against wrinkles, pigment spots and other skin issues. Silvia Scheurwater is a skin therapist and tells you all about it.

What is retinol?

retinol is related to vitamin A acid alias tretinoin. It is a fat soluble vitamin which is produced in our body via beta-carotene. The vitamin A molecule, Retinol, is made up of small powerful particles called Retinoids. But what does this actually do for your skin? Retinol is important for the construction of the capillaries and therefore for the health of the cells. It is an effective cell-communicating ingredient: it attaches to the skin cell and tells the cell to behave like a healthy, younger skin cell. An important anti-aging weapon!

Research

Research shows that Retinol is a true all-rounder in the fight against skin aging. It helps prevent wrinkles and increases collagen production. Retinol is effective in treating acne and eczema. It reduces pigmentation spots and can narrow coarse pores caused by blockage or sun damage.

Important with Retinol is the percentage and stability. Many cosmetic products claim to contain Retinol, but because this ingredient can be irritating to the skin, manufacturers often opt for a low percentage, in order to avoid consumer complaints. These products will not do much for the skin.

Uses of Retinol

The skin has to get used to Retinol slowly. So make sure you build up the usage and percentage slowly. In the beginning, apply a thin layer of cream to cleansed skin every 3 days. Is this going well? Then you can use the cream 3/4 times a week. Always use Retinol in combination with a soothing and moisturizing product, otherwise the skin will dry out too much and you will get irritation. And protect the skin during the day with an antioxidant (for example Skinceuticals) and an SPF50. And last but not least….. be patient. It takes 5 to 6 months to see results.

When not to use?

It is not recommended to use retinol during pregnancy, breastfeeding, sensitive or damaged skin and hypersensitivity to tretinoin. The quality and effectiveness of Retinol decrease when the product is exposed to light. Therefore, use Retinol only in the evening. And only buy products in opaque packaging.

The effect of Retinol is most effective in combination with a treatment at the skin therapist (for example: cryopen or IPL treatment against age spots), which ensures the best result: a healthy, even and younger looking skin.
