Skyworth Unveils Flexible Curved AMOLED Smartwatch

While strolling down the aisles of CES in Las Vegas, it is not uncommon to come across rather strange products; Skyworth is one of them.

If you haven't heard of Skyworth, it's understandable. The Chinese TV maker is not widely known at nous. But if I tell you about it today, it’s that the brand unveiled a flexible and curved AMOLED smartwatch at the last CES in Las Vegas.

As a reminder, an almost identical 5-inch flexible AMOLED watch was unveiled by Google at the IFA in 2017. The big difference here is that this watch looks more like a big bracelet; not to say an armband. Personally, I don’t think it’s particularly comfortable. However, it is clear that the product is quite amazing and attracts attention.

You should know that curved OLED screens are already used for some number of wearables. I am thinking in particular of the Samsung Gear The advantage of a flexible screen is that it allows users to model and modify the shape of their device, depending on the size and shape of the wrist.

So, would this product be an example of what the next wearables will look like? Are-Are we seeing the emergence of a new range of flexible and curved screen products? Anyway, I am almost certain that it will not be the only product of its kind that we will be able to discover in 2018. In my opinion, many manufacturers more or less known should use these types of screens for their next products.

Personally, I am not a fan of this type of product. I consider that there is no design work. Result: the product is not beautiful; or at least not to my liking. I like products with minimal design.
