Cityzen Sciences is starting to be well known to technophiles! Indeed, after launching its D-Shirt at CES 2014 and raising $ 100 million last month, the French company has become a pillar of the world of smart health connected clothing. On the occasion of the 2015 edition, the firm, now well established in North America, presents the new version of its smart health connected t-shirt and an unexpected innovation: a smart health connected shorts!

The new D-Shirt

The first version of the smart health connected t-shirt from Cityzen Sciences presented itself as a activity tracker very advanced: integrated heart rate monitoring, 6-axis accelerometer, application with course management … Well this new edition, in partnership with Asics, makes it even smarter with some new sensors: a More accurate GPS and one 9-axis accelerometer. A box, the Gateway, records the data and transmits it to your PC. It is detachable to wash the garment.

The smart health connected shorts

Dedicated to cyclists, this smart health connected garment will allow them to measure the rhythm of their heart, the speed, the distances, the pedaling cadence, or the time spent as a dancer. Based on the same technology as the D-Shirt, the short positions its sensors at strategic places : heart rate sensor on the chest, accelerometer on the leg … As for the Gateway, it is in the back of the cyclist and also comes off. Today it is only a prototype, awaiting funding.
