smart health connected doorbell with Amazon button and Jeedom
New tutorial today, we will make a doorbell smart health connected with an Amazon button and our good old man Jeedom. And if we complete everything with an IP camera, we are not very far from a smart health connected doorman.

For this we will need an Amazon Dash button, which we can get for free if it is the first one we order. The Amazon button works in Wifi and is not configurable, we will use a little trick to divert it from its original functionality.
Indeed, not being able to communicate directly with Jeedom and only waking up from sleep when requested. We will therefore “listen” to our network to detect its presence and subsequently trigger a Jeedom scenario.
In the example that follows, the scenario will trigger an mp3 to make the doorbell sound, then take a photo from the outdoor camera and send it by teleg and ask us what we want to do. There is no limit, for my part I have the choice between opening the door, leaving the door closed or triggering the sound of a barking dog.
Now let's get to the heart of the matter, to detect the presence of the button we will use the plugin " Dash button ". For more information, read my tutorial on the subject.
Now that we are able to detect the triggering of the Amazon button, we will rely on teleg for sending and receiving messages. To do this, take a look at my previous tutorial.
Then we take the necessary steps to make the sound of a doorbell or a barking dog, for example. For this we rely on the plugin "Play TTS”Available for free on the Jeedom market.
We simply install the plugin.
We then create a new object here ‘Loud”, for which we enter the language.
A scenario to pilot them all
We will now create a scenario to assemble all these bricks together.
To do this, we define a trigger which is the appearance of the Amazon button.
Then in the example below, I trigger two sounds, that of the bell and the barking dog. Then I take a photo with the camera and send it all by Telegram with the possibility of triggering other actions here "Yes, No and Dog".
And depending on the answer I trigger a new action.
And 3D printing
To this I add a 3D print for the wall mount and voila.

This is how we manage to divert an object from its original functionality to adapt it to our needs.
