Smart Spider – Intel's smart dress

With the Smart Spider, Intel's smart health connected dress, we have the right to wonder if the brand has not farted a cable; or rather a processor.

Smart Spider isn't the worst smart health connected clothing we've seen today, however; some have done much worse. The Smart Spider smart dress is the result of a collaboration between Intel, Edison and designer Anouk Wipprecht; because yes they had to be three to create such a thing.

More seriously, this smart spider dress reacts to biometrics in real time. This results in the movement of animatronic spider legs that move when sensors pick up information about the emotions and desires of the person wearing it. The system can differentiate and detect 12 behaviors within a perimeter extending up to 7 meters around the body. Smart Spider will react to movement and breathing.

The outfit is 3D printed and is equipped with microprocessors, microcontrollers and other modules. The goal outside of the buzz is to show that by wearing this outfit, it is possible to monitoring the health and vital signs of an individual and prevent him if he reaches critical levels.
