SmartThinQ Sensor makes your health home appliances smart
SmartThinQ Sensor is a sensor invented by LG which makes your old household appliances intelligent. This is THE product I have been waiting for because it must be said, I am starting to get tired of having to buy everything to take advantage of the features offered by the Internet of Things.
SmartThinQ Sensor is a sensor that will notably work with the temperature and vibrations of your household appliances to inform you of what they are doing. It can tell you when your washing machine has finished its cycle or tell you if someone has left the refrigerator door open. In some cases, you can even control them remotely. Let's take the example of the refrigerator again. The sensor can also tell you how many times the refrigerator door has been opened or if food is about to expire. Finally, the SmartThinQ sensor will also allow you to turn on and off some of these devices remotely.
If no price has been communicated yet, this sensor should be presented at the next IFA show in Berlin with an oven and a smart air conditioner. These last two products are AllJoyn compatible. AllJoyn is open-source software approved by all members of the Allseen Alliance; a consortium of more than 180 companies around the Internet of Things. Thanks to it, users can in particular download and exchange recipes with friends via their mobile devices.
LG’s Lightwave Smart Oven allows users to use their smartphones to set the time, cooking mode and temperature. He will also be able to self-diagnose and find solutions online in the event of a breakdown or problems. LG's Smart Air Conditioner indicates when to replace the air filter and can also be controlled remotely from a smartphone. LG is therefore meeting us in a few days on its stand at the IFA to discover all these new features and much more.
