Snoopy presents – Lucy’s new year for what age? from 6 years old

Snoopy Presents – Lucy’s New Year’s Eve is a 2021 animated movie. It’s going to follow different characters at the same time, and with calendar days passing.

MESSAGES

Friendship

Importance of having friends, which is emphasized in the New Year’s song. Importance of realizing that one can be worthy of being loved (by one’s friends). Friends are there to support us.

Dog

Snoopy and his family are anthropomorphic dogs. This animal is here clearly in the background.

Family

Siblings. We see Snoopy’s whole family arrive at the house. Spending time with his brothers, reminiscing about old memories and taking pictures. Linus tries to help his big sister. Grand parents. Lucy is delighted to welcome her grandmother home.

Self esteem

Guilt over the resolutions that Charlie Brown failed to achieve. Lucy explains to him how to get out of it (seeing the declining resolutions). We see how important it is to feel appreciated (Lucy needs to be revalorized at the party she organizes).

Failure

You can feel bad when things don’t go as you hoped. Perseverance. Even if the situation seems hopeless, we can always hope to count on our friends.

Winter

A cold environment, with snow and everything you need to show that we are in December. Christmas. We see Lucy preparing for Christmas. The days of December pass (and Christmas arrives, but without the usual joy, because the grandmother is missing). New Year. The transition to the new year, with good resolutions and above all a party. We are made to listen to the song that can be sung at New Year’s (Auld Lang Syne) (In past dayswhich is better known as It’s only a good bye) (here we will discover the real lyrics, which speak of friends that we must not forget, and that we don’t really use in our regions).

Party

Organize a memorable moment, with many people.

Requirement

Perfectionism is criticized. By thinking only of your own values, you risk demotivating others. Do not criticize the work of others too much, it can demotivate them.

Selfishness

Lucy thinks only of herself, she imposes her rules and it annoys everyone (but it’s because she needs to be loved and feels that by making a perfect party, she will be appreciated at fair value).

Guilt

Don’t imagine things, don’t make false explanations (Lucy’s grandmother didn’t come for Christmas, and she fears it’s her fault).

Transitional object

Blankie. Little Linus has a blanket he always carries around with him.

Operation

Lucy tends to exploit her brother (she makes him clean her party room). He invites his friends and makes them responsible for many things (responsible for the decoration, the buffet, the dance, the ice sculpture, etc.).

Music

We see Snoopy’s family creating an orchestra.

DIFFICULT SCENES

Hazards

When Charlye Brown pulls on the rope that was supposed to drop the balloons, it instead triggers a disaster where everyone is afraid of getting something on their head and they flee.

Faintness

Charlie Brown is often disturbed when he wants to watch a movie (and in addition he is robbed of his place in front of the television). One of Snoopy’s brothers has trouble taking pictures of them (whether it’s when Woodstock is trying to take aerial shots or when the foot doesn’t hold, or when Lucy is only thinking about photographing herself), we see him very upset at not succeeding. Lucy mainly makes her brother work and the room she found is very dirty (we feel he is being exploited). The camera is broken due to snowballs thrown by Snoopy and the other dogs. Lucy does not accept the work of others, she is not happy and we see that she annoys the world and begins to bring the bad atmosphere. Snoopy’s band is demotivated since the mess because of the broken device, we see them sad and making bad music. We make fun of Linus who has a laughable outfit that his sister forced him to wear. Linus leaves, and the others will also leave, and Lucy allows herself to criticize everything the others have done.

Sadness

Lucy learns that her grandmother cannot be there at Christmas, we see her very sad. Lucy finds herself alone at her party. Lucy is alone outside when she sees all the others at home celebrating their happy new year, she tells herself that all her friends have already forgotten about it, we then see her crying then all alone at home. We see the group of dogs being sad to separate.

Easy access.
