Spanish police drones enforce containment
Equipped with loudspeakers, Spanish police drones warn people to stay at health home, in accordance with containment measures to counter the epidemic of coronavirus.
After an increase in the number of Covid-19 sick and dead, Spain has declared a state of emergency. As in France, the country has ordered its citizens to stay cloistered at health home, except in exceptional cases. Following China's example, local police use drones to enforce the instructions.
Coronavirus in Spain: the police don't mess with their drones
While most streets and public places are now deserted on the other side of the Pyrenees, a ehealth published by the BBC shows some reluctant to containment. We then see police drones reminding them that we must not stay outside to fight the spread of the coronavirus.
Just like the French, the Spanish must indeed stay at health home except for a really necessary outing (shopping, etc.). Worldwide, the number of confirmed cases stands at 169,000 today, including 6,500 deaths, despite a decline in the virus in China.

Chinese tactics applied by an EU country
While Italy now relies on Chinese aid to get out of the Covid-19 quagmire, the Middle Kingdom inspired Spanish police. Indeed, Chinese authorities also used drones equipped loudspeakers to enforce its drastic confinement instructions.
And the method seems to work since the number of new cases continues to decrease in this country where the epidemic has yet started. Conversely, Europe has become the new center of the pandemic.
We can therefore wonder if the Spanish police will not borrow other solutions from China, in addition to drones, to counter the coronavirus. Among others, Chinese authorities have also used robots and facial recognition algorithms.
