Tado makes your radiators smart thanks to Siri and Alexa

Tado has just presented its brand new intelligent heating system. This third generation of the system consists of a "V3 Smart Thermostat" and a "Smart Radiator Thermostat".

Tado has perfectly planned its timing: its products will be available this winter. Personally, I am quite happy with this announcement because, to date, there are really very few effective objects for connecting radiators. Very often these are the great forgotten of health home automation. If there are some for central heating, like the Nest Thermostat, the electric heater often needs to be replaced.

For this third generation, the brand wanted to make its technology compatible with Apple's HomeKit, Amazon's Echo and IFTTT. So, you can ask Alexa, for example, to turn off your heating in the living room or tell Siri to set the room temperature to the ready degree. You will also be able to use the platform to set up scenarios, such as turning off the lights when you leave the house.

Obviously, if you are not in the United States, you will not be able to use the Echo and speak to Alexa to manage the temperature of your accommodation. Hopefully this announcement from Tado is a little hint to indicate that the Amazon Echo will soon arrive in France … If you don't have an Apple terminal either … Well in this case, you will not be able to speak to your radiator and you will have to settle for IFTTT to create scenarios.
